West Coast invited its Eagles Rising Stars members to participate in the club’s annual Bowling with the Stars event last Tuesday.

Members were tasked with taking several Eagles players on at a game of ten pin bowling at Rosemount Bowls in North Perth.

Rising Stars were fitted for their bowling shoes before being shown some of the finer skills required to beat the players by Rosemount’s resident professional bowler BJ.

The excited members were joined by Jeremy McGovern, Liam Duggan, Corey Adamson, Elliot Yeo, Josh Hill and Jackson Nelson, who were fresh from the training track and ready for the challenge ahead of them.

However, a few of the players were shown a thing or two by our Rising Stars, with both Duggan and Adamson suffering heavy defeats in their lanes.

Upon arrival McGovern announced that he was a bowling superstar and he backed up his words with actions.

The superstar defender proved his white line fever wasn’t just reserved to the footy field as he left the competition for dead.

For some of the others it was a more difficult fight to take out the honour of best bowler of their lanes, with only a few saving face by pipping our Rising Stars right at the last moment.

With the bowling all wrapped up, the players made time for some photos and questions before the heading back to the club for another training session.

We thank all of our Eagles Rising Stars members who attended and look forward to seeing them again in 2017.
